I HAVE ALWAYS LOVED WHAT A SCARF CAN DO.
Not just to an outfit, but to the way you feel.
There is something about tying one around your head, your neck, your waist or your bag that can completely change the mood. A white shirt feels different. Denim feels considered. Hair you haven't quite dealt with suddenly looks intentional.
Founded by Peta Gambell in Melbourne, La Tête grew from a lifelong love of scarves, travel, beautiful things and the women who wear them with an effortless kind of confidence.
The idea was simple: to create beautiful silk scarves with the romance and craftsmanship of France, but without the formality.
Something to treasure, but never save for best.
A simple piece. An upward shift.
AUSTRALIAN BORN. FRENCH MADE.
La Tête is an Australian silk scarf house, with every scarf made in Lyon, France — a city synonymous with silk craftsmanship for centuries.
Each design is produced in small, limited editions using 100% silk twill and finished with a traditional hand-rolled hem.
We believe in making fewer, better things. Pieces that aren't dictated by seasons or trends, and don't need to be replaced by something new.
No mass production. No endless repeats.
Small batch. Limited edition. Made to last.
WEAR IT YOUR WAY.
Wear it to lunch. On holiday. With an old blazer. Over your hair at the beach. Around your neck with a T-shirt. Tie it imperfectly. Take it travelling. Keep it for years.
There are no rules.
That's rather the point.
La Tête is for women who understand that style was never really about following anyone else.
We make scarves to be worn, loved, remembered — and perhaps one day passed on.
Modern heirlooms for modern icons.
